Michael Weiner, M.D


Dr. Weiner is currently Director of the Center for Imaging of Neurodegenerative Disease and Professor of Radiology, Medicine, Psychiatry, and Neurology at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Weiner has over 600 published articles and he has written 70 book chapters.

Dr. Weiner received the 2013 Potamkin Prize for Research in Pick’s, Alzheimer’s and Related Diseases from the American Academy of Neurology and the American Brain Foundation. He received the Potamkin Prize for standardizing imaging and biomarker tests to find better ways to detect and diagnose Alzheimer’s disease.
