David Mosena

David is President and CEO of the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago, one of the world’s largest and most popular science and technology museums.  MSI is devoted to inspiring youth in the fields of science, technology, engineering and medicine.  In addition to welcoming 1 ½ million guests to internationally acclaimed exhibitions each year, MSI provides master’s level training to thousands of K-8 public school science teachers.   Under his leadership,  $350 million has been raised to transform the Museum’s content and create life-changing educational programs.

Prior to MSI, David had a highly successful career in urban planning and city management, serving as Mayor Richard M. Daley’s Chief of Staff, as City Planning Commissioner,  Commissioner of Aviation managing the growth and operations of O’Hare and Midway Airports, as President of the Chicago Transit Authority, the nation’s second largest transit system,  and as chairman of McCormick Place, the nation’s largest convention facility.
